BOWLZILLA Gold Coast is the biggest skateboard competition of 2021 in Australia. It has been running since 2016 and was established as a national platform for all competitive skaters and fans across age, ability and sex. It is a gathering of the Nation’s best transition skaters in Australia in 2021 for the ASF Australian National Park Titles.

The Australian Beach Volleyball Tour is the premier elite domestic Beach Volleyball series in Australia. The tour attracts Australia’s best athletes and welcomes international wildcard entries while bringing to the sand a spectacle of exciting talent. Somerset Storyfest 

Following in the footsteps of literary tradition, Storyfest is the writers’ festival for the Gold Coast, the cornerstone of which is its annual writers festival event held in March. Delivering a series of literary experiences along with workshops, masterclasses and featured authors throughout the year, Storyfest nurtures emerging writers and provides opportunities for readers and writers alike. Offering over 130 events to the wider community, Storyfest has secured its place on the Gold Coast’s cultural calendar!

Beyond the Sand

‘Step right up’ and explore Beyond the Sand, as the Surfers Paradise beachfront is transformed into a gallery of colour, movement and music for the 10th Anniversary of the festival in March 2021. The free circus-themed art festival features eight captivating large-scale art installations, the nail-biting Australian Sand Sculpting Championship, live circus performances, interactive workshops and much more.

Queensland Surf Life Saving State Championship 2021

The glory days of surf sports will return at Surf Life Saving Queensland’s 2021 Senior and Masters State Championships, with an unforgettable experience set for both competitors and spectators. The three day event will be action packed with thousands of Queensland’s best surf sport athletes battling each other on the surf and sand in their quest for state glory, including the pinnacle event, the Ironperson.

Coolangatta Gold

The Coolangatta Gold is one of the most challenging endurance races in surf sports. It is open to the public and consists of a 21 km Short Course and a 41.8 km Long Course race. The multi-disciplinary course combines swimming, running, board paddling and surf skiing. Take it on as an individual or a team and challenge yourself.

Vodafone Gold Coast 600

Rev those engines, because the Supercars 2021 calendar has been revealed and the Gold Coast 600 will once again be roaring into the picturesque Surfers Paradise street circuit. For the first time in its history, the Championship will actually conclude on the streets of Surfers Paradise from 3-5 December, with the Supercars champion being crowned on Macintosh Island.
